Why do farmers grow mesclun? If you haven’t eaten lettuce, arugula and basil straight from the garden, you have no idea what you’re missing. Growing greens requires very little space or time and isn’t much harder than picking spinach from the grocery shelves. Some planning and foresight can actually save you time. How often do you visit the supermarket? Could you cut down those trips with a steady supply of fresh produce? Wouldn’t it be good to pick lettuce and basil for your lunch today?
